BBC Presenter Gets Crazy Happy When He Sees A Blue Whale Live On Air

It’s always appropriate to interrupt someone who’s talking if you have just spotted a blue whale. Always.

That’s what BBC presenter Steve Backshall did during a live interview on Big Blue Live on Sunday night. Steve was interviewing whale expert Doris Welch at Monterey Bay, California, when he received word in his ear that a massive blue whale was nearby.

He grabs his interviewee, Doris, by the shoulder and shouts:

‘I am so so sorry. But I have just heard. This is incredible, I have just heard that we have on our helicopter a blue whale.’

Steve is one very happy man and his enthusiasm has been entertaining viewers across the web all day. Seeing the largest animal ever known to have lived on the planet, that has to go down as a good day at the office.
