What was the tweet that sent them all off? Well, it was only this:
I’m in Edinburgh, so could somebody at King’s Cross wish James S Potter good luck for me? He’s starting at Hogwarts today. #BackToHogwarts — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) September 1, 2015
It’s a nice sentiment, but it doesn’t really scream “I’m going to write a series of books about Harry Potter’s son”, does it? Or maybe it does, because Twitter has exploded!
#bACKTOHOGWARTS I DONT BELIEVE!!! IT SEEMS THAT @jk_rowling IS WRITING A NEW HARRY POTTER’S BOOK!! — TIMONEIRO (@timoneiro_) September 1, 2015
@jk_rowling I’m so happy to go back to home #BackToHogwarts — ️ (@theavondrauhI) September 1, 2015

Naturally there were a few sceptics…
The Potter franchise is already being added to with the movie producers creating the prequel to the books, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
The hardcore fans among you will know that this is the day Harry’s son was due to start school. So it’s most likely just a reference to the books. Her follow up tweet pretty much confirms this.
Now worried that he’ll be irritated by the number of people saying hi. https://t.co/6keaEOsKS0

Still, the fans can dream. Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
