A controversial new game enables people to experience what it was like being in the Twin Towers during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
Called [08:46], the immersive experience allows the user to see what it was like in the towers when the planes hit.
The game was removed and then re-uploaded to the Oculus Share platform. Konbini said:
“Based on countless hours of research in order to try to properly recreate the atmosphere and dynamics within the top floors of the towers, [08:46] was designed and developed as a school project during three months by a six member team, working in close collaboration with two actors for mocap and voice acting.”
846 studios took three months to develop the game, they collaborated with two actors for voice and motion capturing.
Pretty Neat VR posted a video of the demo.
What do you think? Is it in bad taste to make a game like this?
