The future of BBC’s Top Gear has been uncertain in recent weeks. Chris Evans apparently kept getting carsick, couldn’t talk and drive, and no one else was confirmed.
But now it looks like it’s definitely going to happen as they have a new host confirmed. Matt LeBlanc!
It’s a weird choice that none of us saw coming, you know… Joey from Friends presenting the world’s biggest motoring show. Odd. Mind you, he did top the Star in the reasonably priced car table.
“As a car nut and a massive fan of Top Gear, I’m honoured and excited to be a part of this iconic show’s new chapter,” said Matt. “What a thrill!”
Chris Evans went on to say about him:
“Matt’s a lifelong fellow petrol-head and I’m thrilled he’s joining Top Gear. Acting out our craziest car notions on screen is a dream job and I know we’ll both be debating some epic road trip ideas.
“We can’t wait to share what we’ve been up to on screen later this year,” he added.
How do you think this will play out? Looking forward to seeing Matt behind the wheel of such a big show? Let us know in the comments!
